Membership Information
Membership is available to affordable housing property owners, Public Housing Authorities and/or management companies. Membership allows you to gain access to valuable member-only information and services.
Management Company Member/Public Housing Authorities
Yearly AAHA membership dues are $1,200 per company
$800 will be sent to National CARH and AAHA keeps $475.
Property Member
Yearly AAHA membership dues are calculated as follows:
- Complexes with 1 – 23 Units: $75 (National CARH receives $25 per complex)
- Complexes with 24 – 48 Units: $125 (National CARH receives $50 per complex)
- Complexes with 49 – 72 Units: $180 (National CARH receives $75 per complex)
- Complexes with 73 or more Units: $225
Property membership includes the following benefits
- Receive Affordable Housing News, the AAHA newsletter – Quarterly newsletter published with Alabama Rural Development and AHFA Highlights regulation information and news about affordable housing management, HUD, legislative action, and multi-family housing management
- Members-only forms – Purchase RD approved lease and receive complimentary copies of other RD approved forms (paper and electronic)
- Receive a complimentary copy of the AAHA Membership Directory
- Discounted rates for all AAHA education and training seminars
- Complimentary classified advertising of properties for sale on the AAHA website and newsletter
- Complimentary advertising for job openings on the AAHA website and in the newsletter
- AAHA annual conference member pricing – Learn from top industry leaders and national speakers and visit vendor booths that serve the affordable housing industry at a member-pricing level
- Networking functions – Educational events and the annual conference that offer you personal contact with your target market of affordable housing property developers, owners, managers and maintenance staff
- Office through which to channel questions and concerns and receive information on affordable housing related issues
- AAHA Scholarship – Eligible residents at AAHA -member properties can apply for the AAHA scholarship as a traditional or non-traditional student. The scholarship is for $2,000 per year, if the recipient maintains certain GPA guidelines. Also, the property manager where the recipient resides will receive $300 for a new scholarship recipient and $150 for renewal scholarship recipients.
Associate Members
Membership dues are $1,500 per year
As an Associate Member of the Alabama Affordable Housing Association (AAHA), you will increase your visibility among the AAHA property developers, owners, managers and maintenance staff.
Additional benefits available only to associate members include:
- Complimentary AAHA quarterly newsletter to keep you in touch with local, state and national affordable housing activities
- Discounted rates for classified advertising of job openings on the AAHA website and in the quarterly newsletter
- Complimentary listing of company contact information in the AAHA Membership Directory and on the AAHA website with a link to your e-mail address and website
- Networking functions – Educational events and the annual conference that offer you personal contact with your target market of affordable housing property developers, owners, managers and maintenance staff
- Name exposure through sponsorship opportunities – Sponsorships are developed for our Associate Members as an opportunity for your company to remind prospects of your products and/or services, and your commitment to the affordable housing industry in a relaxed atmosphere
- Office through which to channel questions and concerns and receive information on affordable housing related issues
Associate Plus Membership
Membership dues are $2,500 per year
Benefits of “Associate” Membership, plus
- Free Advertising on the website and free advertising on the screen at the AAHA Conference
- Half Page advertisement in two issues of the AAHA newslette
Gold AAHA Membership
Membership dues are $5,000 per year
Benefits of “Associate Plus” Membership, plus
- Different color name badge at the AAHA Annual Conference
- One Full Page of Advertisement in four issues of AAHA newsletter
- Invited to Special Meetings to discuss industry trends and to help with AAHA Legislative Issues

Membership dues are $200 per year
